Very good for short stay!

Staff was very friendly and it was pleasure to communicate with them! Hotel and room was clean. Location also is good. Close to old city and also central station. Bad: Hotel is very cozy, but at same time bit outdated. Would suggest to make some cosmetic renovation. In breakfast I would appreciate some warm food, but only available was boiled egg. Of course, bread, salami, cheese was very good, as well breakfast flakes was wide choice.

It's an okay option of hotel.

Location was good, near little tokyo with public transport options. Room was clean and big, which was nice. Bad: Breakfast is not very good for the price they offer, some staff doesn't even speak English. One of the staff during a night shift in the reception was very nice to us, but there was one of them in the other days that was kinda rude.

Better than expected

After reading a lot of bad review we have very little expectation for this hotel. But we were so surprised that everything went well. It is true that the hotel is quite old, but it is very clean, the staffs were very friendly, the check in is fast, the breakfast was not much but it was okay and taste good. And yes you can hear the noises from outside the room, but we are not light sleepers, so it didnt disturb us that much.

Great value and very well situated hotel.

Hotel very well situated, just a short walk from the central train station, and very easy to walk into the city centre. Good value for money for a city centre, and the included breakfast was great. Bad: It was all great other than a sligh inconvenience with the tea provided in the rooms which was a bit hit and miss as to the type of tea provided.

Very Good

Convenient location just a few minutes walking from Königsallee and Altstadt. Great variety of fresh fruits and a tasty continental breakfast. A good price/value hotel in the heart of Düsseldorf. Bad: The hotel represents a 3-star standard. I really missed a fridge/minibar from my room, and the double room in which I stayed (on the 1st floor) was quite small, thus it is more convenient for single use or for short stays.

It is as advertised.

The room was functional and clean. It was a 15-20 minute walk from the railway station. There were places to eat and drink near to the hotel Bad: The member of staff was off hand, I got the feeling he didn't want to be there. I asked why there were so many police cars, riot police around (I had searched but didn't know why), he was disinterested. Later on I saw a pro Palastinian protest. The room was noisy.

Good budget hotel

I was quite happy with this hotel, although I'd agree with others than 4 stars is too high. The room was a decent size,clean and functional and for a change had a proper double bed, as opposed to two singles pushed together, which is what most hotels call a double. The breakfast was reasonably priced but wasn't very substantial - fresh and well displayed, but only boiled eggs on offer as hot food - no scrambled egg, bacon or sausages, and no yogurt, just bread, cheese, cold meats and cereals. After three days I'd have liked something other than boiled eggs.

Exceptional

Lovely hotel very close to hauptbanhof and the main shopping street. The room was very comfortable and bright, I definitely would choose to stay there again the next time I visit the city.
